I see there is an iot network What is that exactly for and should i turn it on I called the fios guy and he asked if i had my own router or if i wanted to rent one from verizon for an additional $15 per month, which obviously i don't want to do O preferably don't want to spend over $100 (saw something on sale on amazon for $60).
What's the downside of buying a router vs renting one I guess i'm asking how often does verizon upgrade their fios routers?
